OUR STORY
LOVE + CHOCOLATES + CHANGE
Kalyana knew from the time she was two that she wanted to be a pastry chef. It was in 2020 that Kalyana discovered that she could turn her passion for chocolate into a business. She was six years old at the time so her mom, Tenaya, just took it in. When Kalyana turned eight, she was done waiting to be a chocolatier. She declared this was the year, so the two partnered together to learn about molding, tempering and sourcing chocolate from sustainable farmers. From there, they began developing recipes and n 2022, Kalyana enrolled to become a Professional Chocolatier through Ecole Chocolat and has not looked back.
We hope to inspire our customers to be the change they want to see in the world. Chocolate is about love, comfort and happiness. By supporting Chocolates for Change, you're helping us stretch this into making a difference in the world. Currently, a different non-profit is chosen as the beneficiary for our Chocolates For Change grants each quarter. This is just the beginning as we hope to grow our offerings so that we can make donations to dozens of non-profits every month.
Chocolates For Change began in 2022 by the mother and daughter team of Kalyana Troian and Tenaya Garrett in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their passion for chocolate and making a difference in the world is how Chocolates For Change got its name.
